Fourth annual “Thirty-three Cecils Day”,Tuesday September 1st

Join author & Binghamton native Everett De Morier and Tejay as they celebrate the fourth annual “Thirty-three Cecils Day” on Tuesday September 1st. 

There will be a book signing from 12 to 3 at the Barnes & Noble in Vestal, and a party at The Belmar Pub (7:00-9:00 PM).

This year, they will be awarding the first ever Cecils Award, recognizing a local resident whose quiet acts of kindness, generosity, resilience, or service have made a meaningful difference in the Greater Binghamton community.

De Morier’s novel, Thirty-Three Cecils, won the top fiction prize at the London Book Festival, was named book of the year by Heroic Magazine, and was required High School reading. The film rights to this novel were sold and it is currently in development as a feature film through Sunset River Productions and will star Academy Award Winner Dustin Hoffman. De Morier also wrote the screenplay for this film.

De Morier was born in Binghamton and currently lives in Dover, Delaware, with his wife and two children.
