VLADIMIR PUTIN – Pulls Out of Nuclear Treaty

Russian president Vladimir Putin raised concerns about relations with the U.S. by announcing that Russia would end its participation in New START, the last remaining nuclear arms control agreement between the two countries.

Putin made the announcement on Tuesday in a fiery speech in which he also repeated his claim that Ukraine started the year-long war that actually began when Russia invaded the neighboring country.

President Joe Biden will have a chance to respond to Putin later on Tuesday when he gives a speech in Warsaw, Poland — the second stop on his whirlwind trip through Eastern Europe. On Monday, Biden made a surprise appearance in the war zone in Ukraine.
