The Ringling Bros. Circus Returns Next Year… Without Animals?

If you’ve missed the sights, smells, and tastes of the CIRCUS, there’s MOSTLY good news for you:  The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus… “The Greatest Show on Earth”… is being revived.

But for better or worse, not everything is coming back.  The new show will NOT feature LIVE animals.  So no tigers, no elephants, no monkeys . . . and as far as we can tell, there won’t even be any horses.

The Ringling Brothers circus shut down in 2017 after more than 130 years, mostly because ticket sales bottomed out . . . but they were also featuring increased criticism over the animal “performers,” and were being pressured to drop them.

The revamped show will debut in September of 2023… and in a promo video, they’re highlighting the human performances, which include tight rope performers, acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, stunt bike riders and uni-cyclists…

With elaborate costumes, surround sound, great food, and, quote, “audience-generated content,” whatever that is.
